My name is Cody Takeda, and I’d like to introduce myself..
I figured no website was complete without an about me, right? I normally keep things pretty quiet when it comes to my personal life and history, but, if I’m going to do it, might as well make it here! So, a little about me: my name is Cody, both in SL and IRL (yes, so original, I know), and I’m from the small city of Grants Pass, Oregon. I’m 28 years old, have two brothers, no sisters, and my parents are divorced. I’m single, have no kids of my own (I haven’t decided if I really want any, either), and currently am unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Before that, though, I was a phone salesman, and worked at my last place of employment for 3 years. My hobbies include primarily gaming and singing, otherwise, it’s just standard socializing with my close friends and family. On Second Life, I primarily delve in my photography and dedicate a lot of time to that, but I do try to go out to clubs/beaches and socialize and meet new people. I’m a college graduate with an Associates in General Studies, and I’m trying to decide if I want to pursue my original plan of a Bachelors in Radiology, or switch to something else, like a business degree. My dream career would be voice acting. I love creating, mimicking, and speaking in different/new voices and characters, and would love to find myself lending my voice to bring something or someone to life on the big screen, or in video games.
So, some more backstory on Second Life, then. I got started in January of 2015, all on a whim. I had added some new parts to my computer and wanted a chance to see how they would handle the strain of a graphically intensive program. At the time, I was only playing on IMVU, and the idea of Second Life did not appeal to me, as I found it to be complicated and annoying; however, once I booted up the program and did my testing, I found myself logging back in more and more, until I eventually decided to give it the good old college try. I didn’t know what I was doing, of course, but I knew I’d figure it out as I go. At the time, what interested me the most was getting involved in the adult industry, as I didn’t take Second Life serious and it was just a way to kill time and have fun, and well, what better way to have fun than to be lewd, I suppose. I didn’t realize it then, but making my Flickr that day was a huge step in an overall transformation as a person, and would lead to me meeting (and losing) some of the most amazing people in my life.
Fast forward 5 years, and here I am. I currently have 3,100 Flickr followers, and thanks to my close friend (she knows who she is), I’ve learned and grown not only with photos, blogging, and Photoshop, but as a person as well. This website is a new step for me, and is an attempt to remove the NSFW aspect of my work on Flickr and focus solely on the SFW photos, male fashion, and blogger aspects. It will take time for me to get the hang of it, but I do hope those of you who check it out, however minuscule that number may be, find enjoyment in what I have to say and share with you all.
